For Those Seeking Treatment For Primary Care Medical Problems or Behavioral Health Problems: CMHC, Inc. accepts most major insurance and third party coverage payments. Our doctors are covered by all three MoHealthNet Carriers (the old Medicaid). Many managed care companies do not keep their published directories updated, and often list only general or certain specialty physicians in these publications.  Usually, you should call our business office at 417-667-8352, or the CMHC, Inc. clinic closest to you to have us verify your coverage.  Our programs are qualified for Medicaid, Medicare, and OCHAMPUS reimbursement.  We have a limited amount of contractual funds available making services for individuals and families suffering from substance abuse able to access services at no costs. Primary care patients are admitted through a standard History and Physical examination and are followed, treated, or referred to specialists by our physicians or advanced practice nurses (nurse practitioners). All individuals treated at CMHC, Inc. for Behavioral Health Problems are admitted through a standard intake assessment, which develops a diagnosis and treatment plan directed by a doctor of psychology or psychiatry.  Careful assessment of your problem leads to appropriate treatment.  We take the diagnosis and treatment-planning part of your treatment seriously since we know that effective treatment emanates from it! Our mental health facilities have a qualified professional on call 24 hours per day 7 days per week.  You can call our numbers for emergency admission and care at any time day or night. While we operate programs and treat many patients in inpatient centers, we believe the first option should always be outpatient care.  Over 95 percent of our work can be done on an outpatient basis, and quality outpatient care often assists the patient in avoiding inpatient treatment.   At CMHC, Inc. you will find a solid commitment to avoiding hospitalization if at all possible. CMHC, Inc. maintains certifications and licenses which demonstrate: 1) regularly reviewed for quality of care, 2) that our staff have the highest qualifications, 3) that your records will be of the highest quality and maintained in a protected and confidential system, and 4) that all the necessary services of a modern mental health facility and agency are available to you and your family.
