CMHC, Inc. Training Philosophy We believe that the most ethical and effective health care agencies are committed to life-long learning and training so that their staff provide the most modern, proven effective, humane, and needed techniques and interventions. We also believe that the most effective health care facilities are multidisciplinary and foster teamwork and collaboration. We provide training in formal internships and residencies, CE seminars, and through research and professional publications. Coming Training Events (Public Welcome)! CMHC, Inc. is committed to Continuing Education.  CMHC, Inc. maintains the responsibility for the content of the workshops.  Psychologists attending our workshops will receive APA Approved CE credits.  Our workshops are generally for professionals in psychology, medicine, psychiatry, nursing, social work, professional counseling, case management, chemical dependency counseling, or social and behavioral service agency personnel.   We often bring in national figures with books or careers of interests to our faculty, students, and area professionals.  All training is supervised by Jerry Morris, Psy.D., MBA, ABPP, NCSP, NBCC, CCM, training director. Dr. Morris provides a series of workshops at the CMHC Clinic in Nevada (8-9AM) Friday mornings. These workshops are free to clinical staff at CMHC and are $25 to other licensed professionals. In September 2008 he will be covering scientifically validated treatments for substance abusers and their families. In October, he will be covering various topics in psychopharmacology.
